Who We Are

Biotag – Natural Sweeteners is a D2C (direct-to-consumer) e-commerce business based in India.

Legal Entity: Biotag operates under applicable Indian business registration & complies with:

• Goods & Services Tax (GST) Act, 2017
• Food Safety & Standards Authority of India (FSSAI)
• Consumer Protection Act, 2019
• Information Technology Act, 2000

What We Sell

Biotag sells natural sweeteners & sugar alternatives:

• Jaggery (multiple forms)
• Palm & date sugars
• Coconut sugar
• Stevia & monk fruit blends
• Related natural sweetening products

Certification: All products are FSSAI-registered & lab-tested for purity & safety.

By using this site, you represent & warrant that:

• You are at least 18 years old (or your parent/guardian has consented)
• You have legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
• You are not prohibited by law from purchasing from us (e.g., not under sanctions)
• All information you provide is truthful & accurate
• You will use the site only for lawful purposes

⚠️ Account Suspension: We can suspend or terminate your account if we suspect fraud, misrepresentation, or legal violations.

You agree NOT to:

• ❌ Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the site
• ❌ Post abusive, defamatory, or illegal content
• ❌ Use the site to spam, phish, or scam others

• ❌ Claim false health benefits from our products
• ❌ Violate intellectual property rights (copy content without permission)
• ❌ Conduct any activity that harms Biotag or other users

⚖️ Consequences: Violations may result in account termination, legal action, & liability for damages.

Product Descriptions & Pricing

We try to be 100% accurate, but mistakes happen:

• Product descriptions, images, & nutritional info are provided “as-is” & may contain unintentional errors
• Prices may change without notice; the price you see at checkout is the binding price
• If we discover an error after your order (e.g., wrong price, product unavailable), we’ll contact you before charging
• We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders (e.g., fraud, pricing errors, stock issues)

Availability & Backorders

Stock is limited & updates in real-time:

• If a product is out of stock after you order, we’ll contact you
• You can choose a replacement product, wait for restock, or get a full refund
• Restock timelines are estimates; we can’t guarantee exact dates

Order Acceptance & Confirmation

Order flow:

1. You place an order → receive order confirmation email (receipt)
2. We verify payment & address
3. If approved, we dispatch your order within 2 business days
4. If denied (fraud, failed payment, etc.), we notify you & issue a refund

📌 Your order is our offer; we accept it by shipping. No contract exists until we dispatch.

Minimum Order Value

No minimum order value, but free shipping kicks in at ₹499+.

Payment Processing & Security

• All payments are processed by certified payment gateways (Razorpay, etc.)
• We never store your full card details (PCI DSS compliant)
• Payment is deducted immediately; refunds take 5–7 business days
• 3D Secure (OTP) may be required for added security

🔐 Fraud Detection: We use automated systems to detect fraudulent transactions. Legitimate orders flagged by mistake will be reviewed manually.

Currency & Taxes

• Prices listed in Indian Rupees (₹)
• GST is included in product prices (or added at checkout for GST-exempt orders)
• Shipping charges are added to the order total
• No hidden charges — see the full amount before you confirm

Failed Payments

If your payment fails:

• Your order is NOT confirmed
• You’re notified of the failure reason (insufficient funds, invalid card, etc.)
• Retry with another payment method
• Funds are NOT held if the transaction failed

• We ship pan-India (all states except J&K & remote islands)
• Delivery times: 2–10 business days depending on location
• Free shipping for orders ₹499+
• We’re not liable for delays caused by courier or natural disasters
• You’re responsible for providing a complete, accurate address

⚠️ Delivery Risk: Once handed to the courier, risk transfers to the carrier. We file claims on your behalf for lost/damaged packages, but the courier has final say.

International Shipping

Currently India-only. International shipping coming soon.

• ✓ Unopened products with damage: Full refund or replacement
• ✓ Manufacturing defects: Full refund or replacement
• ✓ Wrong item shipped: Free replacement
• ✗ Opened/consumed products: No refunds (food safety)
• ✗ Change of mind: Not returnable after 48 hours

Return window: 30 days from delivery

Refund timeline: 5–7 business days after we receive the return

Cancellations

Before shipment: Full refund within 24 hours

After shipment: No cancellation; proceed with return process if needed

Health & Medical Disclaimer

Biotag products are NOT medical treatments. Our products are:

Health Claims We Make: Based on traditional use & nutritional composition (lower GI, etc.). These are informational, not medical claims.

What You Should Do:

All Biotag products list allergen information on the packaging & website.

Allergen Warning:

• While we maintain strict hygiene, we cannot guarantee zero cross-contamination
• If you have severe allergies, contact us before ordering to verify processing details
• Always check the ingredient list & allergen warnings before consumption

If you experience an allergic reaction:

1. Stop using the product immediately
2. Seek medical attention if symptoms are severe

4. Biotag is not liable for allergic reactions; you assume this risk by purchasing

Food Storage & Safety Disclaimer

Natural products require proper storage:

• Keep in cool, dry place away from direct heat & sunlight
• Close pouch after opening; moisture can cause crystallization or mold
• Check expiry date before consumption
• If product shows signs of contamination (mold, off smell), dispose safely

Disclaimer: Biotag is not liable for product deterioration due to improper storage after delivery.

Product Images & Colors

Product photos are representative & may differ from actual products due to:

• Camera lighting & color calibration differences
• Natural variation in color (jaggery, coconut sugar, etc.)
• Screen resolution & display settings

All products are authentic & lab-tested. Color variation does NOT indicate quality issues (natural products vary naturally).

Our Content & Trademarks

Everything on biotag.in is our property or licensed to us:

• Logo, brand name, & design (™ & ®)
• Product descriptions, images, & packaging design
• Blog content, guides, & educational material
• Website code, layout, & functionality

You may NOT:

• Copy our content or images without permission
• Use our logo or brand name to promote competing products
• Reverse-engineer or clone our website
• Resell our products under a different brand

⚖️ Enforcement: We actively protect our IP. Violations may result in takedown notices, legal action, & liability for damages.

User Content (Reviews, Photos, etc.)

If you post reviews, photos, or comments on our site:

• You grant us a non-exclusive license to use your content
• You’re responsible for accuracy & truthfulness

• We can remove false, abusive, or illegal posts anytime

Our total liability to you is limited to the value of your order.

Example: If you order ₹500 worth of products & suffer a loss, we’re liable for max ₹500 (refund of order value only).

“As-Is” Disclaimer

Our site & products are provided “AS-IS” without warranties:

You agree to defend & indemnify Biotag (and our officers, employees, partners) from:

• Your false or fraudulent orders
• Any harm caused by your product misuse

📌 Translation: If you get sued because you violated our terms or broke someone else’s rights, you pay for our defense & any damages.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by Indian law (specifically the state where we’re registered).

Any legal proceedings will be conducted in India under Indian law & procedure.

Class Action Waiver

You agree NOT to pursue class action lawsuits against us. All disputes are individual arbitration only.

Our site may contain links to third-party websites (payment processors, delivery partners, etc.).

• We’re not responsible for third-party sites or their content
• Visit third-party sites at your own risk
• Their privacy policies & terms apply, not ours
• We don’t endorse or verify third-party sites (except payment partners)

We Can Terminate Your Account If:

• You violate these terms
• You commit fraud or chargeback abuse
• You engage in illegal activity
• You post abusive or defamatory content
• We suspect money laundering or other criminal activity

Effect of termination:

• Your account is deactivated
• Outstanding orders continue to be fulfilled
• You forfeit any pending refunds or credits
• We retain records for legal & tax compliance

📌 Your Right: You can deactivate your account anytime by emailing us. We’ll delete your data per our retention policy.

We may update these terms anytime. Changes take effect immediately upon posting.

How we’ll notify you:
